Polar Power has accomplished transfer of technology in the international market arena. Providing production equipment, technical "know-how", and facility commissioning.

Technology Emphasis:

  • Photovoltaic Module Manufacture
  • Automated Testing Equipment
  • Training and Technology Transfer

Polar Products, working in cooperation with an established Chinese electronic products manufacturing company, has completed start-up and commissioning of a photovoltaic module production facility. The plant, located in Nanjing, China, delivered its first production run in 1988.

The transfer included all equipment necessary for production down to hand tools and soldering irons. Polar Products manufactured the major items of cell test equipment and module laminating and testing systems. Polar Products also provided installation supervision and on-site training of management and production employees to complete the transfer of technical "know-how".

One of polar strongest assets is its ability to proceed from prototype into production. These strength lies in our ability to identify vendors, design the production process and produce the production and test equipment, and train the factory workers. In addition to our own internal requirements some of Polar’s domestic clients include: Hughes Aircraft, Martin Marietta, FMS and Lockheed/CalComp.

These pictures are from an overseas project Polar successfully completed in establishing a plant to produce photovoltaic modules. Polar engineered the product, designed the production process, produced the specialized production and test equipment, commissioned the equipment on-site, and trained the workers.
