These are Ruggedized 400 Hz refrigeration compressor assemblies the Air Force procured for the Coast Guard. Polar generally manufactures in batch quantities, the total order was for 104 units.

Pictured here is a 300 Volt DC powered rotary hermetic compressor assembly. Polar designed, manufactured and installed this compressor in to an electric G-van for Southern California Edison. The picture above is our first prototype under test: the picture to the right is our second prototype.
